The National Space Science & Technology Institute's primary capital project is creating Space Journey; a space science & technology center in the Pikes Peak region. This facility will place special emphasis on the space sciences, from current manned and unmanned space exploration missions, to military and civil aerospace milestones by way of state of the art interactive exhibits, dramatic presentations, simulations, displays, and other informative programs.

Space Journey will showcase advances in science as a result of our past, present, and future exploration of space. This world class facility will provide visitors with exciting opportunities for learning in a broad range of disciplines throughout the physical sciences, such as meteorology, geology, physics, computer sciences, and telecommunications. It will also reflect the Pikes Peak region’s centers of excellence for military space operations and the intense business activity in the fields of aerospace and high technology.

The Pikes Peak region is the ideal location for a space science & technology center such as Space Journey, and it will be an important informal science education element for the community, surrounding region, and the nation.
